A Message from the Chapter Basileus

Welcome Sorors, Affiliates, and Friends,

On behalf of the ladies of the Kappa Omega Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated, I welcome you to our official chapter website! Nearly 100 years ago, seven young educators saw need in their community and set out to form a sisterhood based on the foundations of scholarship and service. Today, we are blessed to call these seven women our Founders. Following in the footsteps of our Founders, the Kappa Omega Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority was chartered on North Carolina State University's campus on November 13, 1987 and has been dedicated to serving the surrounding community ever since.

Since our reactivation in Fall 2015, we have achieved several accomplishments, including receiving awards for our dedication to Social Action, Community Service, and Responsibility, Health, and Safety, among others. The Kappa Omega Chapter holds programs geared towards our community including, but not limited to, Operation BigBookBag, RHoundtable, PRHOtect Yourself, and The History of AAVE. Our members make every effort to uphold the standards of excellence set by our founders. In everything we do, we carry ourselves with the highest level of sophistication, respect, dignity, and pride.

Thank you for visiting our website! We hope you enjoy learning about our illustrious organization.

Sincerely,
Tristin Troy
